Jerre Stead was elected CEO of IHS in 2006 and has served as Chairman since 2000. From 1996 to 2000, he served as Chairman and CEO of Ingram Micro. Stead was Chairman and CEO of Legent Corporation from January to August 1995. From 1993 to 1994, he was EVP of AT&T and Chairman and CEO of AT&T Global Information Solutions (formerly NCR). From 1992 to 1993, he was President and CEO of AT&T Global Business Communication Systems (now Avaya). Stead also was Chairman and CEO of Square D Company from 1987 to 1991 and Chairman and CEO of Honeywell-Phillips Medical Electronics from 1979-1982. He has a BBS degree from the University of Iowa and is a graduate of the Harvard University Advanced Management Program. Stead has served on 32 corporate boards during his career
